This service activity aims to increase the awareness of children living around the Ciliwung River on environmental issues through an educational approach based on storytelling. The method used is community education by instilling environmental conservation values in an interactive and fun way. Through stories, children are invited to understand the impact of pollution and the importance of protecting the river ecosystem. The results of the activity showed the high enthusiasm of the participants, as well as the emergence of new enthusiasm and awareness in maintaining environmental cleanliness. This approach proved to be effective in fostering awareness from an early age, so that it is expected to form a generation that cares more about the preservation of the environment around them.
Marisa Puspita Sary, Vera Wijayanti, Maulina Larasati Putri, Citra Amalia Putri Sutiyono, Farah Aulia Copyright (c) 2026 JURNAL ABDIMAS DOSMA (JAD) https://mail.jurnaldosma.my.id/index.php/jad/article/view/133 Tue, 06 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0700 SOSIALISASI SISTEM TATA KELOLA SAMPAH DENGAN SARANA FLOWCARD DI TPA MRICAN KABUPATEN PONOROGO DALAM PRESPEKTIF MASYARAKAT SEKITAR https://mail.jurnaldosma.my.id/index.php/jad/article/view/150
The challenge of waste management lies not only in the volume but also in the increasingly complex characteristics of the waste and the limited processing facilities. The Regency Government has carried out management efforts through the construction of the Mrican TPST, the operation of several 3R TPS sites, as well as educational campaigns such as the SAMTAKU (Your Waste, My Responsibility) program. However, there are several structural issues, including low community participation in waste sorting and the suboptimal use of location-based management guidelines. This study can provide information related to ongoing waste management and help every passerby and newcomer to the Mrican landfill area to understand and comprehend the proper procedures for effective and environmentally friendly waste management by placing flow cards at each point that can be read by people entering the area, The results indicate that the information is very helpful for the village government in explaining the management of waste in their surrounding area
Wawan Trisnadi Putra, Aliyadi Aliyadi, Rizal Arifin, Rifky Irfan Nurcahyo, Uruqul Nadhif Zacky Copyright (c) 2026 JURNAL ABDIMAS DOSMA (JAD) https://mail.jurnaldosma.my.id/index.php/jad/article/view/150 Tue, 06 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0700 PEMBINAAN MASYARAKAT DESA PLALANGAN PONOROGO DALAM PENGOLAHAN LIMBAH PETERNAKAN UNTUK MEWUJUDKAN LINGKUNGAN BERSIH https://mail.jurnaldosma.my.id/index.php/jad/article/view/138
This community service program aims to increase the capacity of the Plalangan Village community, Jenangan District, Ponorogo Regency, to process livestock waste into useful products, specifically organic fertilizer. The main problems faced by partners are the low understanding and skills of waste management, as well as poor environmental sanitation due to the accumulation of livestock manure. The implementation method is carried out through a participatory approach in the form of socialization, technical training, and ongoing mentoring. The results show a significant increase in community knowledge and skills, as evidenced by the implementation of waste processing into solid and liquid organic fertilizer by the PemudaMu Farm partner group. This program also encourages environmental awareness and new economic opportunities based on the utilization of livestock waste. Thus, this community service activity contributes to improving community welfare while supporting sustainable development in the livestock sector.
Kuntang Winangun, Munaji Munaji, Bambang Wahrudin, Nanang Suffiadi Akhmad Copyright (c) 2026 JURNAL ABDIMAS DOSMA (JAD) https://mail.jurnaldosma.my.id/index.php/jad/article/view/138 Tue, 06 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0700 DEVELOPMENT OF A CORN COB CHOPPING MACHINE TO IMPROVE THE WELFARE OF CEPOKO VILLAGE FARMERS https://mail.jurnaldosma.my.id/index.php/jad/article/view/141
The Thematic Community Service Program (KKN Tematik) is a concrete form of the university’s contribution to community engagement through the application of science and appropriate technology. One such activity is the development of a corn cob chopper machine in Cepoko Village, Ponorogo Regency, aimed at improving farmers’ welfare by utilizing agricultural waste that has not been optimally used.

This project applies the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, involving the community actively from the stages of problem identification, design, machine fabrication, to the use of chopped materials for fermented animal feed.

The results show that the machine improves waste processing efficiency, produces versatile products, and creates new business opportunities. However, public understanding of the technology, advantages, and disadvantages of electric cars is still limited. A Community Service activity was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Kotabaru, where students faced challenges in assembling an electric car, specifically with its battery, electrical systems, and software. Furthermore, myths among the teachers created apprehension about using electric vehicles. This outreach program aimed to introduce EV technology, educate on its pros and cons, and increase public awareness and acceptance. The methods used included lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. The expected outcome of this activity is an increase in public knowledge and acceptance of electric cars as an eco-friendly technology. Therefore, broader and more intensive outreach is necessary to promote the general use of environmentally friendly technologies.
Andie, Hasanuddin, Hendra Sanjaya Copyright (c) 2026 JURNAL ABDIMAS DOSMA (JAD) https://mail.jurnaldosma.my.id/index.php/jad/article/view/142 Mon, 12 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0700 UREA MOLASSES BLOCK AS SUPPLEMENTARY FEED FOR LOCAL GOATS AT BERKAH MANDIRI FARM, PEJAMBON VILLAGE, NEGERI KATON DISTRICT https://mail.jurnaldosma.my.id/index.php/jad/article/view/155
Feed availability and quality are critical factors affecting the productivity of small ruminant livestock. In smallholder farming systems, feed management remains a major constraint due to limited availability of quality forage, seasonal fluctuations in feed supply, and low adoption of feed processing technologies. Similar challenges were identified in the Berkah Mandiri Farm farmer group in Pejambon Village, Negeri Katon District, Pesawaran Regency, where traditional goat husbandry and simple feed management practices are still commonly applied. This community service program aimed to enhance farmers’ knowledge and skills through the introduction and application of Urea Molasses Block (UMB) as a feed supplement for local goats. The activities were conducted through extension sessions, hands-on training on UMB production, and evaluation using questionnaires. The results showed that farmers were able to independently produce UMB and understand its benefits as a supplementary source of nutrients. Overall, participants’ level of understanding regarding feed technology and UMB reached 75%, categorized as “good understanding”. The application of UMB technology is expected to improve feed management, enhance the productivity of local goats, and support the sustainable development of smallholder goat farming.
Andre Meiditama Kasenta, Agung Adi Candra, Riko Noviadi, Nani Irwani, Nurul Azizah Usman, Lisa Aprilia Copyright (c) 2026 JURNAL ABDIMAS DOSMA (JAD) https://mail.jurnaldosma.my.id/index.php/jad/article/view/155 Wed, 14 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0700
